Are people really this sensitive about what Doug Bowser very politely and reasonably suggested for those who can't afford a Switch 2 right away? Come on now. If I go to an Apple Store and I can't afford the latest iPhone then yeah, perhaps it would be wiser to go for the previous iPhone or wait until I get my money up. Just because I desperately want something doesn't mean the company somehow owes me a price cut, as much as I may want it.

yongyea is one of those gamer outrage merchants, ignore him lol
People who actually thought it would sell for $400 dumb as bricks
It’s selling for basically $375 usd in Japan, so they can sell it for that much, unfortunately that one has a language region lock
The crazy pricing also could be a stealthy tactic to boost eshop sales, maybe there will be a voucher program and that’ll make the games affordable. Therefore convincing people to buy more digital with the vouchers. I wouldn’t be surprised if that was discussed.
ive bought so many first party games with the vouchers. its a great deal for a guy like me
I wonder how the tariffs delay affects pricing and when the preorder window actually gets announced
no way they wait more than another week, right?
Switch 2 for $450 makes sense lmfao it’s better than the steam deck for $400 and has Nintendo games idk why people are complaining about the price of the console
Complain bout the games
People complaining about $450 are insane, it's beyond reasonable. $299 in March of 2017 is $391 today just adjusting for inflation.... 256GB LCD Steam Deck + Dock is $478 and the Switch is better in many ways

People just want more things to be mad at
This is not the same thing
I’m all for calling out Nintendo on dumb s*** they do like MKW’s pricing and “Switch 2 Version” pricing and confusing messaging, but this isn’t one of those dumb things

We are so f***in back, red Switch 2 carts with everything on it for “Switch 2 Versions”
You gotta see it from a PR perspective. Like I said, he's not wrong but it was dumb to say it. Media will pick up on s*** like that. He shouldn't be the one saying it.
I can see that. I just think what he said was way overblown. It wasn’t as bad as people made it seem, in my opinion.
I still think the switch2 and its games are a great price. I’m still studying but earn 900 after tax for an entry level job so it’s just 1/9th of my pay for a game which for Mario kart I’ll get 100 hours on.
If it’s 2K for madden I’ll be able to get it for 50 a month after release, maybe cheaper.
I always thought video games were really cheap with how much time you get for the games.
Anyway, what’s everyone’s tho That’s on Mario karts unannounced features? Super pumped to see why they have a full direct for the game.

I thought it would've been $400, but i also didnt expect some technical specs like VRR, HDR, 120hz support, among other improvements to the design of every part basically. There's no doubt they surpassed expectations with the console
It is interesting the Nintendo Store preorder invites start May 8th. At the time we all thought it was weird they were coming later than retailers
Now, I wonder if they had that as a back up in case they had to delay preorders, which they did

Considering the CEO at Xbox was fired for doing the same thing,
yeah
