can’t decide between BotW or TotK Switch 2 edition, someone help, I love both so much
Both free if you got NSO
If you’re asking which to replay on NS2 that’s a tough choice ngl

TOTK has so much more variety as far as exploring, enemies, loot etc. doesn't f***ing ruin the vibe by shoveling endless korok seeds down your throat when you trying to find secrets. Has the sky and depths to keep things from ever getting stale. All those new powers. BOTW only worth playing for the story at this point.

There's so much I love about TotK but I legit think the design philosophy of BotW is so much better, puzzle-solving in BotW feels intuitive, it's much more about thinking about the physics of the world, which are pretty close to the physics of real life
TotK's puzzle solving feels too much like 'How good are you at this game?' rather than 'How well can you use your wits?', everything becomes too dependent on Zonai constructs to the extent that there are few puzzles that aren't 'What do I build here?', it's like Mario 64 vs Sunshine, the addition of FLUDD changes everything, using it is a core part of the gameplay loop, and for a game as wonderfully open-ended as BotW, I don't like how much the sequel revolves around the use of one ability
Just BOTW and TOTK so far, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they add more eventually. The NSO Expansion Pack got more DLC included for free as time went on

BOTW vibe unmatched. TOTK doesn’t replace it at all imo they’re very different experiences. I like Tears more tho

I don’t have either game physically or digitally, I’d be buying :///////

you don't have to use Zonai builds many times. Also, the physics based puzzles still exist. You can just use Zonai builds. hard disagree on the puzzles being "how good are you at this game" as opposed to using "wits".
I prefer Sunshine to 64. mostly because of the vibe tho

yeah I agree. BOTW feels very different. TOTK is much more alive and chaotic while BOTW is more post-apocalyptic and lonely.

I was about to recommend tears, but since you havent played either i think you should go for botw first. Just try and find a deal on botw switch 1 version, either through the used market or other means like dekudeals and then get nintendo switch online expansion pack for the switch 2 edition

I get that but it's just not rewarding enough to explore when there's always only another korok seed to discover in every nook and cranny instead of something actually interesting
guess i’ll get NSO finally once i get the console really wanna play wind waker for the first time
only with NSO+expansion pack.
this is an important distinction as not everyone pays for the expansion pack
Managed to preorder, was harder than i imagined considering Italy had probably the most amount of people online b****ing and our salaries. Had to go with amazon although i wanted to go to a physical store to relive the old days, they only had the switch 2 without mario kart

I only play first party games really and Nintendo good with storage size
Mkw is 23 gb and that’s their biggest switch 2 game. I’ll be fine
If I eventually need it years down the line hopefully goes down in price

Damn cyberpunk 2077 just announced mouse mode functionality… and earlier we learned the whole game and dlc is on the cartridge. Huge W from cd. Might pick that up day one.
i too was going to hold off on getting a storage card, but i just realized i need to check to see how much data my current switch games take up. it's possible i wont be able to transfer everything with base storage since almost all my games are digital
Wait Nintendo is being shady as f***, when they introduced the digital game card system back in March they acted like you could opt out and still do the old method, but today they technically got rid of the old way you could share digital games.

Might pick it up too even though ive played it to death on pc and ps5. Great packages like this should be supported so we keep getting them.
