Provided that the dock has HDMI 2.1 I guess that's probably true. Has that been confirmed? If it's HDMI 2.0 I don't think it inherently supports VRR. Idk HDMI is such a mess of a standard

i havent heard anything about a new zelda

only been 2 years since TOTK so next original game is probably like 3 years away. especially since TOTK was a sequel to BOTW, and i doubt they do a second sequel, so they will be building a new world/dynamic

u can get a new tv with a composite video input. last year i got a new sony bravia tv and it had this. this was important for me because i still play my PS2 for mvp baseball 2005. it doesn't have the red-white-yellow input on the tv but it has 1 input hole for this. i just needed to buy a $5 adapter off amazon to turn those red-yellow-white cables into one cable and it worked great.

baseball is obviously a timing-intensive game so i was worried about input lag from using this method, but i was pleasantly surprised at how well it played (no noticeable lag). the graphics on the big screen are what they are, but i was worried about this when i was tv shopping and i was happy with the outcome. no need to keep an old tv to play old systems.

debating whether i should buy used physicals and pay for the switch 2 upgrades or just go full digital
