ngl starting to think the switch 2 is not as powerful as nintendo led us to believe
like i already knew it wasnt gonna be like ps5 pro / series x strong but theres too many third party games releasing with big caveats way too early into its lifespan that it realistically should have no problem running lol
Depending on the games you're talking about, it could be the devs not being familiar with the system enough. Early ports are the worst, switch 1 got its best/most impressive ones from year 2 onwards
What im seeing is its biggest weakness is the cpu. Current gen games will mostly run at 30fps unless devs make full use of dlss and even then the most demanding games still wont go past 40fps

i was thinking it was more on the dev side and them not being familiar with switch 2's hardware but idk, none of the 1st party switch 2 games actually use the console's full power besides the world tour game. i don't even think mario kart world runs at 120 hz / 120 fps either lol
im going off of the digital foundry video so this could be wrong but persona 3 reload for instance is 30 fps on the switch 2 when something like that should easily attain 60 fps lol
Been bouncing between some UFO 50 titles, is this seat taken, and tiny bookshop
havent played an indie in a long time and to get three of this quality all out on the same day is incredible

UFO 50 killing me all these games hard af
Watching this indie direct and it's absolutely crazy how 99% of good indie games are PC exclusives or start out as PC exclusives.

Party house is the one
absolute crack
A lot of people consider the switch amazing for indies but its actually probably the worst platform for indies.
No Repo
No Raft
No Lethal Company
No Peak
No Phasmophobia
No Devour
No Boo Men
No anything similar to any of these games
Anyone have a favorite year of Switch 1? Mine was 2019. Such a good year imo.
Nintendos E3 was insane

Got to be 2017 with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Xenoblade Chronicles 2, Golf Story and Mario Odyssey.
Nintendo announced a bunch of new Mario related stuff, it’s all connected to Mario 64
what could they be cooking
Mario 64 2 incoming

Sounds like "Hello, Mario" is that thing from the DS port. Maybe the menu?

VRR was a really great inclusion

I’m going through them chronologically, so far I’ve faved 3
mooncat, camoflauge and paint chase.
I like how each game has a fake history too lol, such a cool concept

I wouldnt expect many games reaching the full 120fps on this, it hardly happens on the ps5 even with lighter games. And the first batch of Nintendo games started as switch 1 games, so the only thing they get from the switch 2 is 60fps and high resolutions, maybe increased level of detail like we saw in bananza. Nintendo hasnt even used dlss yet for example, i think we'll start seeing the new technologies when they shift focus to games that started production around 2021-2022. I think the new monolith soft game will look insane for example, the new next level games project too, cause they gave us xenoblade 3 and luigi's mansion 3 on switch.
And persona 3 reload's situation is 100% on atlus lol, P5 is a PS3 game and runs at 720p 30fps docked on switch 1 lol they didnt even try

First year (2017) was the best for me. Got a major 3D Zelda (Breath of the Wild) and a major 3D Mario (Odyssey) and my first introduction to Splatoon (Splatoon 2) which I ended up loving. These are still my favorite games on the Switch.

it's crazy to think 2017 had BOTW, Xenoblade 2, Odyssey, Splatoon 2, Mario + Rabbids 1

2017 hands down
BOTW still the best Switch game ever IMO
New 3D platformer titled “Mario & Yoshi” surprise dropping next month, a groundbreaking new adventure that harkens back to Super Mario World
I love spreading misinformation
Seen footage and reviews for Madden on Switch 2 and yikes…
I’m genuinely so disappointed. I was looking forward to this game but I’m glad I didn’t preorder. S*** stutters SO MUCH. This was for sure rushed. Maybe in a couple months with some fixes, it’ll run well. But it’s a pass for now :(
