Metroid prime 4 release date + xeno series switch 2 patches would make this a 10/10 direct for me
Switchforce is lowkey a top tier leaker at this point lmao
Bro became an insider overnight i didnt even know who he was before this leak
60 minute general Direct on a Friday?
Better be good or else it’s gonna ruin everyone’s weekend
Nintendo please just TEASE a new 3D Mario or some 3D Zelda game even if it’s just a remake. Show me that the big boys are coming and give me an idea of what they gonna look like. Otherwise drop some other new title that surprises the heck outta me.
60 mins is such a W
They gotta move on from S1 lowkey tho
I think next year will be the last they cover switch 1, at least on the 1st party front (and even then, they will be cross gen projects so im not even that mad at it, and i doubt we'll see many of those anyway).

why? now a bunch of people will be able to afford S1 at much lower prices, I think it’s smart to capitalize on that with some new titles at least from a corporation’s standpoint
as long as it doesn’t impede the growth of S2’s library then I don’t mind tbh, it’s still the 3rd best selling console of all time so I’m expecting support for another 2 years truthfully
Realistically, the only switch 1 games i could see in switch 1's future are tomodachi life, rhythm heaven, a possible Mario 3d all stars re-release with mario galaxy 2 this time, the rumoured Kirby Planet robobot and fire emblem genealogy of the holy war remakes and Yoshi's woolly world HD. I doubt they have more in store for switch 1 in terms of software until they stop full support for it, and i doubt any of them are huge productions (well, maybe FE remake, but i expect that to get a great switch 2 edition as well)
Also, Nintendo wants to move on too in a way. I think splatoon raiders looks like something that could be respectably played on switch 1, but making it switch 2 exclusive makes for a more palatable library.
Duskbloods was moved to a switch 2 exclusive as well

Didn’t Nintendo raise the price of the Switch 1 a few weeks ago?

metroid prime 4 is a switch 1 game
this is probably a big reason why they included "switch 1 games" in the description of the direct

Forgot about MP4 and Legends ZA but yeah, those as well.

I’m talking secondhand, my bad
I wonder how far out they're going with their 1st party announcements. I originally predicted this direct would have at best one new major announcement for 2nd half of 2026 with a new animal crossing, but given the length, who knows
If I had to make 3 predictions:
My S2 about to be the least aerodynamic frisbee if they don't give us a concrete Metroid release date
