What do you guys use for inspiration?
Lately been the social scene/political climate, but outside of that I try to approach it like a research topic. Finding whatever topic I’m interested in be it visual or not and going down the rabbit hole and just taking note of whatever you find interesting. From there it’s easier to find a theme/subject that sticks with you and then just go out shoot whatever speaks to you.
For example My thesis was a response to this trend of shooting suburban landscapes, but when I went out to shoot I didn’t feel comfortable/ felt like I was getting looks, which started me down a rabbit hole of the suburbs history, who it was made for, who it excluded, etc. etc. You can peep it here to get a better idea.

That was a long winded answer and maybe more information than you asked for or wanted but I’ve found it to be a an educational and productive way to make photos that actually mean something at least for me. Hopefully that makes sense
