My prediction at this very moment. F*** it.

    This what I’m thinking

Small chance Iowa and Texas go Biden

Equally small chance trump gets Florida and Georgia

Also Ohio is lean/toss up not solid red

  • Nov 1, 2020

I assume they’d be all good with getting run down then right?

    That’s just one case.

There’s a federal one that everyone has their eye on.

True, but a step in the right direction nonetheless

This cool, but Texas is really just gravy. If Biden wins Texas, then he likely won NC and FL and AZ too, and therefore already won the election.

according to biden's team, republicans who supported Biden instead of trump are being eyed for roles in his administration.

... Republicans who backed Biden are being eyed for their own possible roles.
    ...
The Biden team is also expecting to include Republicans in the administration if he’s elected. “I know for a fact, just because I’m on the transition team, they said they are considering all — not just Democrats, but Republicans and all people as part of the administration,” said Cindy McCain, the widow of Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.).

this is perhaps the worst thing i have ever heard, virtually guarantees Biden is setting up his whitehouse to be a hybrid of neo-democrat policy built on top of the fixture of Bush-Obama policymaking.

Also just drives the GOP further right

it's not necessarily one-dimensional left/right but i agree the effects of this reflecting on the actual GOP is certainly interesting.
I mean, if the corporate wall street bankers & war hawks are supporting one party over the other, what happens to the other party? Especially if the other party is the one which is supposed to be the business party? It's easy to say that both will just be bought off but i don't know if that's the correct a***ysis

Honestly these Trump supporters are starting to get really worrying. It feels like the birth of a domestic terrorist organization at this point.

The numbers I just wrote out were assuming independents went entirely for Biden

  • Nov 1, 2020

I’m not talking about that specific statistic.

I’m saying The Economist literally predicts Biden to win. So it’s kind of contradictory for them to have a statistic that points to Trump

I don't think that saying a lot of republicans will wait to vote on election day necessarily means it "points to Trump"

I assume that they just mean there are still a lot of votes yet to be cast but it probably won't be enough to outweigh the Biden mail-in/early votes

But they still have registration numbers, of which 4.77 million republicans voted vs 3.24 million democrats and 990,000 independents voting.

But I have written ITT about not looking too much into early voting because they are deceptive, so I don’t really disagree with your points lol, I just find this stat interesting because Republicans aren’t supposed to lead in early voting generally.

Because Trump has railed so hard against early voting, and people are spurred on to vote Trump out, hence the record turnout.

Short of blatant f***ery that would essentially kill democracy in this country all together, Biden likely has this in the bag, comfortably so.
