1) Derek Chauvin still had his neck on the guy for 9 minutes straight with intent to kill. He could have just locked George Floyd up and send him to custody, regardless of how previous sentences.
2) Chauvin murdering Floyd automatically dismisses every other context here. His murder of Floyd is what the media ran with and what they SHOULD run with. Floyd wasn’t killed because he had nine previous sentences, he was killed because Chauvin had intent to kill.

I'm not disagreeing with you - but one gripe I have with Owens (and really this applies to a number, if not all, of political/social commentators/shills) in this clip is that she points out how Floyd asked to be put on the ground (which is true), but she is completely ignoring Chauvin's knee on Floyd's neck after being placed on the ground, handcuffed with two other dude holding him down.

I never heard Floyd ask for a knee to the neck? Unless my ears are failing me. Just a convenient thing for Owens to not acknowledge and ultimately as you point out - it helps her stay on message and deliver what her listeners want to hear from her.

What the hell are you talking you about? She’s regurgitating common right-wing talking points that have been stated about the George Floyd/Chauvin situation. Secondly, she’s not debating anybody. She’s on a right wing podcast with three other people that share the same viewpoints as her.
