I don’t think Dems really expected to win in FL, and probably didn’t devote as much energy there as they did in 2020 though when they actually had a chance.
That, and FL was used as a strategic move in 2020 with Bloomberg alone spending significantly more for Biden in the last month of the election than Crist spent in the entire campaign - he did that so that Trump would have to spend more time campaigning in Florida while Biden campaigned in the rust belt
