    she will likely win

This gotta be the most scary thing of all the results last night if it holds.

It’s also one of the most surprising — given how AZ voted for a centrist/establishment Dem running against a radical Republican in the Senate race, but not nearly the same margin in the governors race.

It’s also odd to me how I’ve heard so many pundits say Lake is seen as a bridge between MAGA extremist, that can still be viewed by suburban voters as sane and prudent. I just don’t see that when I watch her lol

In the US you don’t get to choose a candidate you like

You’re forced to chose between the republican nominee and the democratic nominee

Just a thought — while DeSantis could be seen as “dominant” in this election, and then some people could view that as an indication that he’s a stronger nominee than Trump in 2024 for electability reasons, we have to keep in mind that this happened in Florida. If DeSantis was running in PA or WI or Nevada or New Hampshire, he would be in a much closer race or lose because of his extreme positions. And Trump himself did well in Florida in 2020 (relative to how DeSantis did in 2018 when he barely won).

I think people forget just how deeply MAGA Florida is right now. It’s a coalition of white people and Cuban people that deeply hate everything the left stands for.

    this graph is f***in nuts

media does really affect peoples perceptions on other marginalized groups

I think this says more about the average American's understanding of percentages than it does anything else tbh
