So what was at risk for this election on the national level? The senate or house? I only worried about Texas

Both houses of congress but the house was the only likely one

Is it a close race for who takes control for the house?

Is it a close race for who takes control for the house?

Way closer than people thought, but it will very likely be the GOP winning it.

Senate is also a toss up atm

Like pure economics rhetoric focusing on the “working class”

The petty-bourgeoise doesn’t care about that

"...anglicised as petty bourgeoisie) is a French term that sometimes derogatorily refers to a social class composed of semi-autonomous peasants and small-scale merchants whose politico-economic ideological stance in times of socioeconomic stability is determined by reflecting that of a haute bourgeoisie ('high' bourgeoisie) with which the petite bourgeoisie seeks to identify itself and whose bourgeois morality it strives to imitate"

Are you saying most of their readers would be of this petty bourgeoisie ilk

Thank you for the knowledge as well

It's pretty insane to think that if the republicans had just left Roe v. Wade alone they would've sleepwalked through these midterms and 2024

Roe v Wade was always the goal though, because it was the one issue that really riled conservatives up in the 60s and 70s. They didn't even start using it as a talking point until 5 years after roe v wade was passed
