If she is being groomed behind the scenes into running as a third party candidate, it would explain some of the tactics she has been deploying.

it would really shock me if she ran third party or did something like that. i will say though that if she just plans on switching parties post-2020 that would make more sense for her positions and beliefs, especially her dislike of the DNC. personally i don't believe she's being groomed or controlled or anything

If those were her plans, running an election campaign in the democratic field/party seems like a complete waste of time and resources.

We will see once she fails to meet the requirements for an upcoming debate — if she opts to drop out of the race or diverts her campaign away from the DNC.

Do you guys think Bernie's foreign policies would be effective? Like do you think countries like Saudi, Syria, Russia, etc. will allow him to be successful in that regard?

  • He wants to get rid of Assad through diplomatic engagement with help through Russia/Iran iirc. Don't see that happening.

    damn you right.

Selling weapons to the most regressive dangerous regime in the middle east while simultaneously antagonizing the most educated level-headed presence in the region is a much better policy.

Also taking the d*** of a 2nd world quasi-Autocrat meddling in our elections is a real strong foreign policy stance

It was shameful at last nights rally that Rand Paul called for the whistleblower to be exposed.

    Blue wave continues from 2018.
Virginia has flipped Blue as Dems pick up 21 seats. After 2018, Dems now control all 3 branches.

  • Nov 6, 2019

Also interesting note, now that the Dems have Virginia state house and senate, they'll likely ratify the Equal Rights Ammendment and it'll be on its way to becoming constitutional

If it gets to the point where Trump needs to be on live television defending himself in front of Congress then things are gonna get really tough for him. The entire world seeing him floundering in the spotlight will be an eye-opening moment for voters and will bode horribly for the election. Not to mention the blatant perjury that would be committed

He may resign before he stands trial. May be too big of an embarrassment for him. Or he’ll just refuse and we’re really gonna see what Congress is made of

I don't think it will change anything or make any difference. There's very few people who go out of their way to defend trump or who explicitly like him which are going to have their minds changed by virtually anything.
Likewise, there's nothing I see that can change people's minds on the otherside, only dislike him more. That's one reason I don't understand these types of arguments saying "it's going to make him look worse"; it's not like he goes out of his way to obscure his behavior, and a large percentage of people don't give a s*** anyway, so if that hasn't bothered them prior, why would this?
I can't imagine the catastrophe that would occur if he actually impeached was in full (by senate too), especially since it would involve republican cooperation.

It would’ve been more damaging if Sondland would’ve maintained his original testimony.

If he felt the need to change it, it was because there was evidence out there to prove he was lying.

Therefore, by changing his testimony, he is avoiding getting charged and jailed for “lying to protect Trump.” That would’ve been more damaging in the entirety of things because it would’ve shown that they were covering up a quid pro quo.

By changing his testimony, and wording it in a manner that leaves the opening of a “it was just speculation or opinion on his behalf” and detaching it from Trump just as Cohen tried to say he paid the women off from the kindness of his own heart and had nothing to do with him, Sondland is avoiding being charged himself and gives Reps a defense strategy.

I can guarantee that if and when Sondland testifies publicly, Reps will ask him if Trump directed him to make those statements of aide being withheld if no investigations were started and made public, all he will say is it was his own opinion and nobody put him to it. That in their eyes is their way out.

Don’t buy this narrative that Sondland has all of the sudden made the choice to put country over party and turn his back on Trump by throwing him under the bus.
