Young DI mean, the Dems originally proposed a 3 trill bill and GOP proposed 1 trill. Then Dems met in the middle with 2 trill and GOP didn't budge.
At the end of the day GOP had way more to lose politically by not compromising. Now they can either compromise or take some fat Ls thanks to Trump's tweet yesterday portraying them as the bad guys. Dems also now know that they will likely be able to pass whatever stimulus they want come January since they will control all 3 houses (this is like the opposite of the Merrick Garland situation -- Dems proposed a compromise justice GOP didn't bite and had it work in their favor, opposite is going to happen this time though).
Also idk who that guy is but his numbers are BS. The GOP bill does DEFINITELY not give $150 billion in funds to education
The 2 trillion Dem bill only gave 30 billion, and the 3 trillion Dem bill only gave 60 trillion. So there's no way the GOP bill would bring it up to $150 lmfao- Oct 7, 2020
