I agree, but I still think that there’s no one lying to polls because they’re embarrassed. That’s not to say that there’s still tons of other legitimate reasons for polling error though

From the conversations I’ve had, it seems like they’re embarrassed to admit it to themselves lowkey

But that’s anecdotal, and pollsters have said they see no evidence to support the theory. I think the only evidence really for it is in 2016 when Gary Johnson support switched almost exclusively to Trump. I think a lot of “shy” Trump voters said they’d be backing Johnson.
