If he does, 2024 would be a lot more interesting. I’m not sure how strong his support among democrats really is, it seems to me that he’s liked primarily by right wing people as a spoiler to Biden.

But if he was running independent (apparently has had meetings with the Libertarian party as well), and he managed to gain enough traction to make it to the debates, he might be welcomed by Anti-Trump republicans, Anti-Biden democrats, moderates and independents.

20% of democrats don’t approve of Biden. 33% of republicans don’t like Trump. You got about 11% of the country that considers themselves independent of either party.

So there is room for about 35% of the electorate to go to an independent candidate, which would be enough theoretically to win. But voters would have to feel like he’s actually got a chance, and scandals would rock his candidacy more so than party backed candidates, so I don’t think he’s really got a shot. Could shake things up though.

what was fake about it? he's been the chairman of an anti vaccine nonprofit for nearly 10 years, a sizeable part of his current political support comes from his vaccine freedom beliefs and its integral role in his presidential platform, he's been writing about vaccines causing autism for almost 20 years, he wrote a whole book about Fauci and the 'nazi-like regime' of vaccines.

He’s polling pretty well in the general election matchups. In a three way race, he’s averaging 15.3% - enough to qualify for the debate stage (though he’ll need to hold those numbers all the way to September which will be tough). In a 4 way race with West included he’s averaging 17%.

I think we may see Trump try to prop up and legitimize West as a candidate, knowing that he will only pull from Biden, to offset the bleeding that a strong performance from Kennedy would cause him.
