what were everyone's everyone's xcore/scene albums of the year?
mine were 100% dogleg by melee, frail hands' parted/departed/apart, illuminati hottie's free i.h. (i love the direction she took, i hope she sticks with it) and gulch's impenetrable cerebral fortress.
i might have missed some releases this yr bc i don't really have anywhere to keep up on alt record releases so @liluglymane @fleur if you have any recs pls post them
Was kinda a dead year due to the lack of tours I assume
Touche Amore's Lament, Illuminati Hottie's Free I.H. Dogleg's Melee, Beach Bunny's Honeymoon, Seahaven's Halo of Hurt, If I Die First's My Poison Arms and Code Orange's Underneath

painting words into lines by koyo
demo by fleshwater (vein side project)
forever lasts another year by god program

The lack of At The Drive-In is concerning
This is a scene revival thread so they are original scene
I recommended it to the op of the "Glass jaw" thread though
Feel free to post more classics though💯
real for Elysia... Masochist is one of my all time favorite records
masochist and that demo with barney on the cover >>>

the fact it was like a bunch of kids in highschool that created Masochist still blows me away. They were so far ahead...
oh man alexisonfire! self titled record always goat to me, i have a shirt from 2003 from em, phenomenal band
lol f*** that s*** hyperpop is scene reincarnated
I love what the SC scene is doing bringing back internet-driven music. Cut the oldheads some slack though

When I was in elementary school I was hanging out at the skatepark, and George and Dallas showed up and skated with us for a couple hours then dipped. I remember when Dallas worked at West 49 too.
I met their bass player Wade a few years ago when I was at work, super nice guy too.

I was lucky enough to get to see them play at super small venues in St. Catharines when I was younger, like elementary school young. No idea how we were allowed in the shows.

I dont particularly like this song but my best friend growing up was in this video.. he called me the day they were shooting it but I didnt answer my phone

ahh wtf that seems dope. I saw them in 2017. that show prolly kicked ass lmao, glad you are safe because it must've been hectic as a kid. they were also rolling out a new album earlier this year, but it seems like they stopped

we were like 12-13 going to hardcore shows in like 03-05 thinking we were grown. but man it was such a fun time, and scene girls are still my weakness
if you haven't heart sunny day real estate, definitely look into them. all of their albums are great but the rising tide (their newest, 2000) might be closest to what you're used to.
on the opposite end of the spectrum, antioch arrow's gems of masochism is kind of psychedelic and art punky.
also random and might not be appealing to you at all, but i remember reading that i hate sex's first ep circle thinking was inspired by nirvana's tourettes. i hate s***is a screamo band so idk how but circle thinking is amazing.
thanks a lot i will be checkin these out!!!!!!!
