Patrice Rushen and J*Davey got back together for this after 15 years holy s***. I wish she brought this to NY.
i can't be
a singular expression
of myself.
"I CAN'T BE A SINGULAR EXPRESSION OF MYSELF"
"there's too many parts,
too many spaces,
too many manifestations,
too many lines,
too many curves,
too many troubles,
too many journeys,
too many mountains,
too many rivers, so many..."
it's not about the physical manifestation of sex. now, we deal with the freek'n...but that's in volume two...

Uniting in grief seemed a central theme of the Ballroom and was reflected in Knowles’ compositional debut, “Not Within Arms’ Reach.” The minimalist tuba duet was performed by two Black men tubists, facing each other, yet standing apart as the title suggests. Inspired by gospel and Black southern marching bands, the piece reflected an uneasy conversation, a chasm between brothers desperate to harmonize, to be on one accord, but unable to bridge the gap. Still, they held on together till the end of the piece, discordant but never turning away from each other until their final bow.
life altering work in store.
