Yeah I think it'll get added at some point... So in 2022 hopefully including VRR, FSR and maybe 1440p @ 30/60/120 Hz hopefully. And also 8K @ 30/60 Hz as well too for movies and the very few games that will support until we do get a PS5 Pro which should have some CBR games which run in 8K @ 30/60 Hz

i hate the concept of "pro" consoles. really just some slight differences and maybe improvements, just cause they know they can get more money.

it's the same as bullshit mid cycle upgrades like iphone s models. last gens pro variants should've been what we got the whole time and even then they weren't really that great

ps5 is the first time it's felt like a huge performance and graphical leap on console for me. but idrc about 8k gaming. they can't even give us 1440p 120hz, and unless you have a high end tv or monitor, you aren't getting full 4k/8k and hdr.

I feel you... It needs to be even better. But at the same time so am I glad that mid-generation upgrades do now exist... But yes they need to be better than that but I don't want them to go away personally. The thing is though... Are people willing to pay more for better stuff like on PC? If yes... So will there be meaningful upgrades... But if it's nothing over $500 so don't expect a huge difference but since it's $100 more this time around so will the PS5 Pro be better than what we got with the PS4 Pro but not by much though but it'll still be more justifiable IMO

it’s not the same at all, because the pro version comes out 3-4 years later and that’s a huge amount of time, especially in terms of GPU performance, compared to when mid cycle phone upgrades happen which is every other year

Also the old model often becomes more affordable so it’s a good deal for people who don’t want the pro as well, everybody wins

It’s still very early in this generation, it’s gonna look very similar/not too different until later on down the line

That being said, who REALLY wants a PS5 Pro? There’s no games out currently that can even take advantage of it

I waited until ac origins and ac odyssey had the complete edition with all dlc for $20 and had a lot of fun, I bet if you wait until next year you’ll find the valhalla complete edition for $20

I don’t even see a PS5 Pro doing anything new other than more consistent 120 FPS for games, and that’ll just be expensive at the moment.
