I thought there were some sleeper games in there. Deathloop looks awesome and the art is cool, the Japanese game kinda looks like Dishonored. Might be a few stinkers at launch but 2 or 3 years in there's definitely gonna be heat. Horizon looks insane. Spiderman looks cool, idk how it's gonna work if it drops at launch, doesn't sound like it's gonna be a whole game, maybe a DLC or something

by Japanese game you mean Ghostwire Tokyo? that's directed by one of the GOATs and the team is full of well-established members, it's definitely shaping up to be a good game

Spider-Man: Miles Morales was the only game I want from this press conference.

horizon 1 gameplay was way too simple, every enemy was dealt with the same way basically, just shoot at the glowing weak spots

the story was great but the gameplay didn’t carry it imo, not to mention outside the main story, the game world was filled with boring fetch quests and enemy camps, instead of interesting new things

If they redesign the gameplay for this one, I’ll cop

oh you mean besides visually, fair enough. yeah GoT and last of us 2 are shaping up to be some of/the best games of this gen for sure

oh yeah visually horizon 1 is one of the best looking games I’ve ever played and I’m sure horizon 2 will hold up to that if not greatly surpass given the system specs

I thought the gameplay was a lot better than you're explaining. Yes on easier difficulties just shooting glowing parts can work but you can also be creative. It gives you tools and let's you use them as you see fit.
You can plant wires and traps in certain spots and kite enemies into them using bombs or weapons, you can tear off parts of their weapons that becomes difficult to deal with, some enemies you can hold down and try to hit their power cells or blaze canisters for element damage ECT. Some you can slide under to hit with the elemental shots and blow then up, some you can just corrupt and make fight for you from a distance ECT. I thought their approach to combat was great.
The side quests and dull world are valid arguements though, the game could use better memorable personalities.
