For me the silver lining is that I’ll at least be able to trade these consoles in and probably get the pro versions for like $150-200 each

The first 2-3 years don't usually have A LOT of good games... Well depending on what you're into. But after that so should A LOT of good games drop and be available by then.

I do even think the PS5 will generally speaking have better games than the PS4 so expect to hopefully not be disappointed by this generation when it comes to what the PS5 will be offering.

Oh and if you mean Microsoft by saying Pro consoles... Well dunno about that but I hope that they're preparing some good stuff too. But I know Nintendo will be dropping some bangers so you can count on them as well besides Sony and I could see them releasing a NS Pro or NS 2 by 2023 or 2024

I guess for 60fps it’s kinda worth it but with Returnal coming to PC and ragnarok/horizon both on PS4 there’s not really a huge reason to own one right now but yeah in 2023 it’ll be a necessary buy
