Playing through Ghost of Tsushima again and just realized in the cutscene where Jin is going to his father’s pyre, the servant lady tells him that his parents are still with him. She says his dad is the wind at his back and his mom is the birds singing in the trees. Then the whole game you’re following the wind to your objective and birds to secret locations

Sony turned down spiritual successors to Wild Arms and Shadow Hearts, helmed by the original creators, so they can remake movie games 5 years after release

God of War 3 was remastered after 5 years so it's not like it's without precedent

But that game wasn't available on PS4 until then

Horizon wouldn’t make a great tv show because the story is the weakest part of the game. It’s strong points are combat, gameplay mechanics, graphics and art design, very little will transfer over to the show besides maybe some design elements like the robots.
