NuteDamn was ready to clean my too, but nvm. Hope it ships to you before Spider-Man comes out
Mine was the release day disc edition, if that matters. Was curious to deep clean since I never really did since I got it and that happens.
Definitely got PTSD from that s***. When I heard that PCB crack that s*** hurt my soul. I'll just light clean the new one from now on.
Should be here in time for SM2. Hopefully some time this upcoming week it'll deliver.

Since then I've been having random encounters where the PS5 overheats and shuts down.
Yesterday s*** hit the fan (pun intended) cause it randomly turned off while I was playing and it didn't want to turn back on.
I opened it up, cleaned the little bit of loose dust it had inside and tried to wiggle the loose PCB until it finally turned the PS5 back on.
Now I noticed that the fan isn't spinning when I boot my PS5 on and I think it's largely because of the loose PCB.
I ordered a Digital off PS Direct cause I can't take the s*** anymore. I wasn't gonna spend the money to have Sony fix it cause it was gonna be a portion of what I could spend on a new one and who knows how long it'll take for me to get it back.
F***ing sucks, I was gonna wait for the PRO model to come out to get a new PS5.
Get it fixed and sell it then sell the other and boom you’re good for a pro

Funny s*** is that the PS5 I got turns on and the fan spinning again
But I'm not gonna keep going through the bullshit of it overheating. That PCB fan piece keeps malfunctioning cause it's partially on the MB.

Yeah the whole deep cleaning it thing can be a bad idea if you don't 100 % know what you're doing. So vacuuming it and cleaning some of the dust and also cleaning the fan should be it and of course cleaning it from the outside and not putting it in places where there's a lot of dust.
Well... I guess the PS5 Pro can wait then so you'll be fine until 2025 or 2026 anyway

Yeah kind of... But I've seen videos of it that doesn't make it seem to be that hard to remove, clean and then put it back... So I guess it's all about doing it the right way and been patient when you do it!
I see... Well I guess it depends how stuff is for you by then and you can always trade-in your PS5, sell it or something. Me though? Hmm... I might not get it day 1 to see if it has any issues or well I guess we'll see as it all depends on if it has some good surprises that will make me get ASAP

I imagine it still is, I got the OG disc drive PS5 and I watch 4ks on it. Don’t see why they’d skimp on it for the slim.
