Helldivers 2 just released and rebirth, rise of ronin and stellar blade are on the way. And that’s without mentioning 3rd parties. Still resetera will stink up a thread with this gen being "dire" or some stupid s***. I haven’t finished elden ring or baldurs gate. And I’m currently loving darkest dungeon.

This really might go down as one of the most boring generations ever if we don’t get some bangers towards the end of the life cycle. Like there’s definitely a ton of great games to play but it’s nowhere near the output of the PS3 or PS4.

Things aren’t greener on the other side either; I’m still waiting for the first proper Xbox (console) exclusive that makes me fawn over, and I’ve had a Series X console since launch..
Luckily I skipped the PS4/XO gen so I’ve had plenty to catch up on.

The PS5 was basically unavailable here until 2022 unless you wanted to be put on a waitlist for months or go to scalpers.

So it basically feels like it only arrived 2 years, not 4 years ago.

Plus the lack of generation defining games for any console this gen tbh. Feels like the biggest games for this gen have been ports or PS4&5 crossovers, not exclusives.

If we truly get the PS6 in like 3 years, this will go down as the worst gen ever tbh.

PS4s first three years were pretty sparse imo, it only really got good in the latter half. Looks to be the same this gen, but they were able to secure second and third party exclusives to mitigate that this year
