That annoying f***ing sounds combined with the plastic waste, paying more for new games than digital because there’s no digital tax for me, getting up and having to remove the disc from the box and then remove the disc from the ps5 and swap every time I wanna change a game.
Physicals are super overrated, I’m gonna sell the disc drive and the games i bought, it’s just lame. The only bonus is selling your games or giving them away and I’d rather just keep them

That's one of the main reasons why I did go full digital back in 2014... But nah I am still getting a Blu-ray disc drive for my PS5 Pro so I can watch movies, Anime etc. on it besides also watching them via Netflix, Crunchyroll etc.
But I know what you mean... But I don't have anything agaist physical media though

Also with the portal, having a digital library is a big plus over physicals, you can’t “play from anywhere” (like the portal is made for) if you need to be at home switching discs

I still like buying physical games every now and then, but in the grand scheme of things, it makes 0 sense. Everything on your PS5 is played from the SSD, disc are just used as a security measure, to make sure you own what you have.
Studios could put more effort into physical copies, and just charge a premium though. Wouldn't mind paying extra for a thick manual for example.

That's true... But I don't really like the whole Cloud/streaming thing. But I do see myself using Remote Play sometimes when the PSP 2 (Or whatever Sony will call it) is out besides playing the digital games on the PSP 2 as well whether they're on the PS5/PS6 too or not.
Pxplay is actually goated (better than the official app)

Let me just say... I wouldn't buy it if it wasn't worth it.
And I would also say the Elite Pulse headset is worth it too.

a digital library really is the way to go though moving forward, we don’t know how many of us will face these things but it seems global warming will intensify fires, floods, hurricanes, im in sf and we’re overdue for a biiig earthquake.

yeah i copped a os5 pro (craziest way to justify the purchase ever) and if i couldn’t immediately download re4 or whatever id go insane.
theres no real reason to purchase physicals. i see what people mean when they pint out ps3 eshop closing but i think thats just gonna get mitigated more and more
