They won't stop making the hardware immediatly so you'll still have the option, but you'll have to cough up a lot of money for that option though, as they don't have a choice but to raise the prices.
You really willing to stop playing new games just because a box would no longer be available? I can't see myself doing that, with any media actually. That's what confuses me , because like nothing would really change just that i'd be saving more money lol
what do the special edition consoles usually cost? thinking of finally picking up the ps5 with the ghost of yotei console
Well since Sony owns EVO so will I share this one here since the FGC thread and other FG threads aren't active enough...
@trash_star Well usually about the same price or like $50 - $100 more.

streaming apps can remove games and such, me personally I wanna own my games, also why would consoles be over like you said on the other page? I dont think plug and play will ever die out, TV and couch gaming will live on just based on the comfortability of it.

When it comes to owning, most people don't care really, you already don't own the games you buy these days. But you'll still be able to buy the digital media outside of a catalog.
Streaming is even more of a plug and play, comfortable option than consoles.
I'm saying consoles will "die" the same way CD players and vynil players "died". You know they still exist out there but no one really uses then because there's no need to use them.

Well I don't have any fight stick so far... So this is the one for me so far but the wait will be long though since there's a very slim chance a Midnight Black version of it is coming in 2026 :/
Oh well lol I'll wait until early-mid 2027 I guess
Where are they making a comeback?
CDs and vinyl sales are both rising year over year to reference your original post

Can you link me to a source of that?
Isn't this tied to the rise of bundle sales in music? Because of Taylor Swift,Travis Scott etc?

I mean you can just Google it and tons of articles will come up it’s not like a secret lol

I did and what came up is that it is tied to bundles from artists and collectors. So i wanted to see if you had a different source.
So It's not really "coming back" as in the main way of people consuming music.
Like i said previously, consoles, physical media etc. will fall in the enthusiast and collectors category, they will not be the main way people play games. Just like it happens in music and movies.

Also...
"The new PS5 controller DualSense model "CFI-ZCT2J" has passed technical certification. Unlike previous models, the change in the model number suggests the possibility of significant updates.
With the PS4, there were major changes, unlike minor updates such as changes to the light bar, support for USB wired connections, matte finish around the buttons, and internal component changes."
And those specifications are not final by the way!
honestly more excited for this portable than I was for the ps5, wonder how big the storage options will be
