yeah after the gp hike I was like f*** it I don’t need this xbox anymore i rather just downsize then upgrade
so I sold that and my original ps5 for the pro

You're in for a treat then dude... Gotta say I couldn't go back to my regular PS5 after getting my PS5 Pro almost 1 year ago!

Now all you need is to upgrade its storage to 1-4 TB's more, the DualSense Edge controller... And maybe the arcade stick from Sony coming in 2026 if you're into Fighting games, changing the white console covers/plates to something else in 2026 once some new ones are out, buying a Blu-Ray disc drive if you need one, the stand (if you do need it) and then either the Pulse Elite headphones or the speakers... Or both maybe?

Anyway... You'll be good for the next 2-3 years at least now... And guess what? You'll get to enjoy games like GTA VI the way it was meant to be played in 2026!

PS6 rumoured for 2027 is kinda brazy.. (I said “kinda” cus it’s to be expected since PS3 & PS4 each had 7 years of life before their respective successor arrived).
But in terms of 1st-party output, it feels like we’ve only reached the middle of PS5’s life cycle.
I guess the PS5 cross-gen period with PS6 will be much longer than previous PS platforms.

@AKA_SB Yeah I feel you... This generation doesn't feel like it needs to end in like 2 years. But dunno if the PS6 will be delayed until Holiday 2028... But if it means a better console then sure why not? But well I think it's coming Holiday 2027 for sure... So far

Yeah I'm not sure if the handheld they're making will launch the same year as the PS6 or they'll pull a PS Vita and release it 1-2 years before it. But we won't have a good idea about Sony's plans before Mid-late 2026 probably

The PS6 handheld is according to MLID stronger than a PS5 but not as powerful as a PS5 Pro though but with the version of PSSR coming in 2027 etc. so will it even be able to run PS6 games but of course at a lower resolution/framerate and with heavy use of PSSR. But that handheld sounds amazing so far and especially in docked mode

God of War 2 and Prince of Persia series were my favorites for sure.

I'd include Shadow of the Colossus but I played it on PCSX2 years later after I gave my PS2 to a younger cousin.
