LMAO that thing was worse... But yeah it wasn't a good idea doing it tbh.

But well if a lot of people demand it here so will I just put GOY back in the title until Ni-Oh 3 is out

I think Marathon should be up next after Nioh

    I still think about Factions

I think it's the biggest miss Sony had this gen. It could have been huge if they did it right.

I've been watching Arc Raider's and I've seen some people make some comparisons.

I think extraction games are boring as f*** though.

Factions would have just been raw fighting. 4 v 4 teams ot even 1 v 1 like Ellie and Abbie's fights. Just running around an arena dodging, going prone, setting traps. It would have been so damn good.

The No Return Mode is basically ripe for multiplayer.

You can choose to PvP all you want in ARC and the game will match you with other players who engage in it similarly to you, speaking for the solo experience.

If you load in with a squad then it’s always most likely PvP-fueled.

As someone who’s always friendly with other players, it can get kinda boring just looting over & over and extracting successfully while nothing interesting happens. The extraction part can be thrilling in itself cus that’s most of the time when s*** goes down, either from the PvE robot enemies or other players tryna rat on you, or both at the same time. (It’s lowkey like gambling lol)

But like I said, the choice is yours in how you choose to interact with the players.

Yea but the looting is still integral. I've seen agressive gameplay. That's not even the issue for me. I just don't care for the gameplay loop.

I was just thinking about the visercal animations of TLOU2. How violent it is. Running around blasting people. Would have been a very cool experience.

I'm not even trying to s*** on ARC because I think it's a well made game from what I've seen.

TLOU2 combat and movement is just so good.

Looting is like there to give you something to do in this sandbox before you run into other players, and then from there, the loot is considered like the reward for engaging in PvP or the reason why you’re tryna survive cus you just found some super-rare loot. But if you just wanna load in to pure PvP and nothing else then yeah it’s probably not for you.

I definitely recommend giving it a try if they ever do a free trial.

I was just reminscing tbh. They were doing way too much for Factions 2.
All Naughty Dog needed to do was make some good maps, a couple solid modes. and some skins to unlock.

But they wanted to turn this into a whole voice acted story thing????

Just a huge misdirection. Really just copy Factions 1.
I was playing Splatoon ranked for the first time in a minute and I forgot how SWEATY the game is. S*** is onsite.

IIRC Naughty Dog didn’t wanna commit to a live-service development environment so they basically said "fuck it, let’s just drop everything about this project even though what we’ve been cooking is actually fire"

Which I also found to be so bullshit. it's literally not their first time making a multiplayer game/mode.

The worst part is even having that type of expectation that they'd need to support the game forever. Have a good base level amount of content to unlock. Just a bunch of skins for Ellie and friends. Which you can unlock in the No Return Mode

They already have the environtments from the game for the maps. Again the No Returns mode just highlighted how easy it would have been to turn into a multiplayer game.

Factions really didn't need to be it's own thing in the first place. But obviously every multiplayer game now has to be the next Fortnite where they can siphon money from you forever.

It could have been a one and done purchase. Maybe a few updates for a least a year and done. It brings me back to Splatoon. There's actually a decent amount of cosmetics you get in the game. One and done purchase. And people still play the game, because the gameplay speaks for itself

This endless supply of cosmetics that people need to enjoy a game is crazy to me.

    F*** Herman Hulst!

    End Rant

Still perched for Intergalactic but that s*** is so far off it's depressing.

The Last of Us Online - cancelled
Twisted Metal live service - cancelled
    Spider-Man multiplayer - cancelled
God of War multiplayer - cancelled (thank goodness lol but Bluepoint still wasted time with this)
    Concord - LMAO
    Fairgames - MIA

PlayStation’s endless goose chase for the live-service model has cost them a lot this gen

Sure PS5 is easily winning this gen in market share, but if you look closely at the platform holder then there’s been a crisis going on behind the scenes.

What would be the best way to play Silenthill 1? I was thinking about copping a PS1 and the game itself, but I don’t want to drop 200$ on the game itself.

Well if you don't want to wait for the remake of it and it's not on the PS Store at the moment... Then I guess playing it on a PS1 is your only choice so far as far as on a Sony console

Playing “Detroit: Becoming Human” for the first time.
Damn I love this game so much!

The side story in the magazine about possible war in antarctica with USA and Russia is crazy on the nose with the world situation right now.
A lot of the game actually feels so on the nose with what is happening right now.

    Love this this game!
I am glad I waited until I got 65 inch tv to play it on.
I actually feel I am learning something about making choices/moral/ consequences etc, by playing this game.

Will check back in the thread when I have played it thru

    What a game!!

I choose non violence until the swat pigs came to Jericho and slaughtered everyone they saw, including North(girlfriend)does f***ers.
So I stormed the camps and free the androids.

As Connor I went with the Androids and found the exit program so I did not execute Markus.

Sadly Luther died as we crossed the boarder thru the river, and Alice died by her wounds as we got on land😪

    F*** man… what a game.

At a later time I am gonna play it again and choose different

Console time frames been increasing though, switch 1>2 was the longest wait yet. Ps6 wait may go into 2028

Tbh with the PS5 Pro been good so don't I mind waiting until Holiday 2029 or Holiday 2030... But nothing longer than that though!

But I won't be shocked if the PS6 is out Holiday 2028... As well I don't think Sony will release it Holiday 2027... But hey who knows tbh.

But right now so does a delay look very likely to somewhere between Holiday 2028 or Holiday 2029
