Your account can only have one primary console, meanwhile the secondary consoles must be connected online so it can check to make sure the primary console isn’t playing the game you’re trying to play on the secondary consoles

But I still buy switch cartridges because I love that format and obviously they’re more portable

yeah next gen definitely turns discs into a relic so its a losing battle lol but I don't sell my consoles (or at least havent yet) so I'll still get use out of them

A form of DRM has been there for a long time yes... But what has been shared on X etc. isn't what you think it is... So no there's no need to log-in/use your PS4/PS5 every 30 days.

Nothing in that regard has been confirmed unless Sony confirms it.
