God of War is like a soft reboot, You dont actually need to play the first 3 to enjoy GoW..
Unlike for example, Uncharted 4, where you gotta play the first 3 to actually fully enjoy it.
People need to stop the nostalgia
We need new IPs like Last of Us, Tsushima...
We don't need no remakes no more
Don't u grow out of that phase?
(This is a sensitive topic for a lot of you)
No I didn’t and I’m going to tell you why.
Do we need new IPs? Yes.
Do we need a way to play our older games? Yes.
For me PERSONALLY. I play my ps1/Ps2 games more than anything else. They have massive replay value for me. The only current gen game I’ve revisited since beating it was Bloodborne and DSIII. Sony is going on a more cinematic route with their games now and that’s cool, but for me they are one and done. I know that isn’t the case for everybody. But for someone like me I’d like to enjoy the new experiences while having the old ones to continue to play at my leisure

I didn't say that
U mistook my point
I meant, nostalgia needs to die in terms of that clouding the devs vision of making another type game or a big overhaul of the original series of which the nostalgia is based on
You SHOULD have a way to play older games, i didn't say that
And I don't mind remakes in a sense of a few years passing
Say we had Silent Hill games every two years, it's tiring & just chasing nostalgia isn't it?
But the fact that we don't, it's more sweet
New IPs are a must and it's proven that they can succeed if done right.
Ghost of Tsushima is on the last legs of the PS4 life cycle and look at the sales

Nah nah bruh
It's cool I don't mind remakes as long as they're not flooding the market and being main attraction

100% agree with this
100% agree with this
u a cool cat
imo not worth it but a lot of people liked it
the gameplay and graphics were great but the story was too simple and the characters and dialogue kinda cringe at points
Im still interested in the second one, could be really good if they write better characters and really write a story with a satisfying ending. .
just finished last of us 2. abby's campaign was really fun surprisingly. just started ghost of tshushima and it's already one of my favorite games on ps4
You def don't need to know alot about Kratos other than
He killed his own family after being tricked by Ares (original God of War) then Kratos killed Ares and became the new God of War, and he gets filled with vengeance and eventually kills all the Gods in Olympus, including his own father (Zeus, King of Olympus/God of Thunder).
The new game is based on norse mythology and not Greek mythology, and so everything is new for Kratos.
You can watch this 7 min video if you want alittle more details

But again, unlike Uncharted for example, you dont actually need to play the first games to enjoy this one.
