It'll no doubt... But a PS5 Pro is indeed coming unless we do get a PS6 in 2025. If that indeed happens so do I still expect a PS5 Slim though.

1440p at 60 FPS should be fine too... But 2K or 4K at 120 FPS is what's mostly not possible and to run at that resolution and framerate is what's going to make a PS5 Pro something that must happen. I do imagine Sony already now or during 2021 working on it for sure.

And I do imagine seen some CBR 8K games also been out by late 2023 or some time in 2024.

i have a 1440p 165hz monitor rn and i was REALLY hoping the ps5 could push higher refresh rates in 1440p since they were targeting optimizing mostly for 4k. 4k 30fps is kinda a bummer lowkey. Non of this will matter when i have my ps5 and demons souls in my home

I could see Sony introducing 4K @ 240 FPS and 8K @ 120 FPS via whatever version of HDMI will be out by 2023-2024... Maybe HDMI 2.3 or something better. So yeah what's out now should be enough until then or there's always other ways to play games at a better resolution and framerate aka PC. But I want them to do better so that the exclusive games on the PS5 etc. do look and run in the best resolution and framerate possible!

The thing with console is that since it's a fixed spec, developers are almost always gonna target 30fps if it means having nicer graohics. That's why every single console gen people say they want 60fps standard and then it ends up being 30fps again lol. Only chance it's happening this time consistently is if all games allow different modes for 1080p and 1440p
