They tried to get crossplay started last gen, and microsoft shut it down first. They were also the first ones to offer free games with their PS Plus, doing this all the way back in 2010, and then microsoft finally started their games with gold program 3 YEARS later in 2013. Sony invests big money in high quality games for their fans, which is really the main reason so many people enjoy playstation. If you really think people are gonna have some stupid s*** like return policy be more important than the quality of their GAMES when theyre gonna buy a GAMES console, youre looking way too deep into it.

Well they started giving away games because they wanted to make money on subscriptions that was the whole idea of PSplus because there online was free they needed reasons for people to sub. And then they said f*** it and put online behind a paywall so I mean...let's not forget they charge the most for online and when they raised the price they gave 0 explanation lol which is pretty greedy.

That cross play argument is allitle unfair tho because not like a year prior sony and psn was hacked and down for like a month so ofcourse microsft was resistant to the idea and they certainly didn't try to lock people in to having an account only work on there system like Playstation did when they were anti cross play so it's a very diffrent situation.

The second sony dominated sales they went anti consumer because they didn't have to play nice anymore which is the nature of being number 1. But my issue is why do you guys not even admit that there is some issues? It's like you dont care how much bullshit they put the customer through. Atleast put there feet to the fire and stop worshipping them...its the only way things will change.

Every company has issues bro. Sony has never been outright bad to me. I play their exclusives every now and again and the rest I play on PC. I've never had issues with the company and most people will say the same, so I don't see why you're acting like they're s***ting on me and I just take it. If anything, its worse for Microsoft to literally just give up on their console halfway through the generation and say "wait for E3" for 4 yrs and their fans act like that's okay. Theres a reason why Microsoft has a bad rep, and its not out of nowhere like youre making it seem.

They released an overpriced, weaker console that wasnt focused on the gaming experience, backtracked, and then basically gave up after a few years of releasing mid games and s***ty sales, and diverted all their efforts to the next gen. You can't blame people for losing faith in a company that doesnt even have faith in its own product.

Game pass is great, and I'm glad it exists. I have used it on PC for a few months myself. But youre blind if you cant see why many gaming and xbox fans have been disillusioned by Microsoft over the last few years.

Was the oneX them giving up?they fixed a gigantic issue with the release of the oneX and let's be clear...it was ambitious to say the least. They put the money and time into that console and while it didn't save them fully it was obviously a huge step on the right direction and one of the biggest reasons I feel like they can pull this out...they listened.

Backwards compatibility in the middle of the life cycle was certainly not them giving up.

We have a diffrence of opinion because I personally don't give a f*** about exclusives and all the other talking points you have they completely turned it around. But yeah...that was a pretty horrific E3 they had and it cost quite alot of people there jobs.

And even if you do care about exclusives they just are not made over night, I truly feel like halo infinite is the real test to see if they can turn this exclusive problem around because while I agree they rely way too much on master chief and Marcus Phoenix at the end of the day there is a reason why they do. If Halo is strong it's a good sign that mangment isn't stifling creativity for these titles and I can be less worried for when rare, double fine, and initiative studios show off next.

That's fine if you don't care about exclusives, but you can't ignore that its a priority for most people buying a gaming console. Both consoles play the exact same third parties, so the big difference between them is really which games can you not get on the other one that are worth your while. Microsoft put 0 big exclusives on the Xbox in the second half of the gen, and that's what people mean by giving up. Sure they put out a more powerful console, but they barely made use of its power. It's the last year of the console cycle and Sony is still putting out killer apps like last of Us 2, ghost of Tsushima, and death stranding.

I do hope Halo Infinite turns out great. I think Microsoft has some really cool IPs and devs that they've bought up, but their track record from the past gen doesn't give me high hopes.

Why is that a bad thing? If you are already playing on PC chances are you don't f*** with consoles anyway and are hype that you can play the games on the platform of your choice. It's a customer friendly move and doesn't matter anyway if you are a strictly console gamer
