Do you consider CLB more mature than Tyler's last effort?

What do you mean by mature ?

A central theme of tylers album was catching feelings for his homies 19 year old GF. He was a 30 year old man at the time of this drop btw

CLB is the same s*** Drake been talking about for damn near a decade but its still more mature content then CMWYGL

You cannot appreciate this album in the house all day with no hopeless romantic history

Outside of the club…. Outside the things that a man like me does….

With no hopeless romantic history? So you gotta be a simp to understand the album?

PS, drake is not a hopeless romantic. He’s a douchebag. Lmao.

    Life, and maturity is subjective.

We shouldn't view what maturity is for Drake, Tyler, through our lenses.

What is maturity when you make 40Ms a year?

A 3 is well deserved. That album is a 2 pack of ass. Drake has become the most boring rapper in the game. 75% of these songs sound like they could have been on NWTS or Take Care. He just makes the same 4 songs over and over again with different Instagram caption bars

Being rich doesn’t absolve you from having to grow up eventually lmao

What is growing up in their lenses though? Who says they aren't grown? Because they're 30+ and having women issues?

A lot of "growing up" / maturing talking points have to do with archaic stereotypes on what it means to grow up. They have enough fame and money to remix what it means to be grown.

He basically summed up how I felt about CLB. Just feels like an uninspired album where Drake is talking about the same s*** on the same type of beats. Views-Scorpion-CLB all feel like the same type of albums.

There's definitely some good songs and some hits amongst them but I feel like there's not a lot of replay value in either of those projects as a whole

  • 3/10 is WAY too harsh and screams that he's out of touch with Drake and how the people love him. TSU and Way too sexy are out of here for example. He's just too deep in a***ysis to even see it

However, Fantano's review did hit on a few critiques that I had for the album

Essentially, Drake is formulaic almost to a fault. It's a drake album 100%. You know exactly what you're getting from drake when it's album time. EYE love it, but I can see how it can be pretty stale and bland for others. It's suchhhhh a drake album

It's why when he gets on features, he kills it for people in a positive way because he's not in album mode. He's so talented, he can do it all which is why It's so refreshing to hear him do features. He's more interesting. But that buzz / hype gets diluted a bit once album time hits.

It's almost comical how much drake sticks to script for album time.

i mean you make a valid point but a lot of people havent had as good a social life as they normally would have over the last year cause of the pandemic so i think in general ppl are probably gonna relate less to it
