Yeah I agree this song should be more popular than it is right now. Hopefully the video helps. Tip being independent IDK they probably don't have a big radio budget unfortunately.

The verses are fire. Especially Thug's last verse.

The flow/energy is crazy all throughout

I think Epic was a late deal to secure distribution for Dime Trap and that wound up being a disaster for him tbh. That deal came and went after Dime Trap.

As of now I believe he's just Grand Hustle / Empire (which is really just a streaming distribution label).

Maybe he'll find a deal to distribute this album again. Atlantic would be a good choice.

It's a shame to hear how Epic f***ed over Dime Trap, was supposed to be a double album apparently but they forced him to trim it down. Besides, they pushed him to make the album more mainstream-sounding smh

I'm quite surprised how well Atlantic treated him, hearing they treated other artists like garbage. At this point I don't think he'll need a deal with major record label, should stick with Empire as his distributor.

Atlantic was the best thing that ever happened to him

Yea they're the ones who catapulted him into mainstream, even supported him quite well throughout his career. In 2020 I don't think signing to Atlantic again would be the move unless he desperately wants to become relevant again

Yup, Atlantic always treated him amazing from what we could tell. Supported his albums heavy and helped catapult him to super star status.

I'll never understand why he left them tbh

I think the contract he signed with them specified a number of album releases before he's let go. Besides, T.I already claimed that Atlantic wasn't too fond of his family-friendly image so there's that.

It's the best for him to remain independent IMO

That's because youre not a TIP fan if you repeatedly ignore his podcasts

The reason he left is because the people that was in charge at the time left and the new ones that came through wanted something completely different. He explains this with Jeezy on Expeditiously.
