idc what anyone says, we are in the age of the internet now, most of us have been but by 2025 we will literally be fully connected to cloud servers for all of our content be it streamed or downloaded

i bet theyll stop selling physical games this generation regardless of the outcry from collectors

the Series S is fine for now but it might not be worth it by the end of 2022, we dont know yet and i was stating that Fable and Perfect Dark might be the first 2 games to challenge the Series S and push it to its peak which may have some owners upgrading for sure

so far the Series S is great for playing cross-gen games at a 1080p level since like @basedspirit said it still reaches 60fps, but does have a guaranteed future? we dont know and wont know until late 2022

i do feel bad for anyone with an S thats a fan of STALKER 2 though that is gonna eat 35% of the internal drive

And it’s not all about future discs many people have a bunch of discs whether they be DVDs, cds, blu rays, or various games. If Microsoft spent $2 for each series s and put in a disc drive you would please countless people like me it’s so easy but they don’t want to they want the 30% they get for every game sale on their store

it kinda sounds like ass but i havent bought a physical game in a long time and since games are moving to a service format (even playstation and nintendo) we as consumers must demand quality through social media, which is working for some studios as we have seen recently

even single player games are evolving to be more service-like without the negative aspects of being a service, it's all about evolving the industry, just because the 2010 decade had bad examples doesnt mean they wont get it right and that's what they'll tell you

and yeah its about corporate control at the end, the digital market is 10x easier for them to handle - and the people wont change that, too much money has been invested by every digital media platform now, that the future will be more tethered and networked than ever before

Calling the s a scam when it has an obvious place in the market is not a logical discussion. S has downsides but it's not for people who care about what the detractors care about. Thanks for telling me how forums work tho
