hades, psychonauts 2, back4 blood, Diablo, far cry 6 and battlefield 2042 all better on PS5 because of haptic feedback and adaptive triggers

Only gonna be playing halo and forza on my Xbox. I love both consoles but the Dualsense controller is another level

How the Ascent devs who are a team of 12 able to make more detailed environments than these big name devs churning out generic reused assets everywhere

You’re not getting it free mate. You’re paying $120/year for the base tier, more for ultimate, for a service and you have it until you stop paying. 10 years later I’ll still own the game and can sell it

Trust me it sounded like a gimmick to me too before the PS5 dropped and I saw the ads but it’s different when you actually play with it

it’s not like motion controls or something it actually improves the experience a lot

I still like the Xbox controller, it’s classic, but the dualsense is different beast

thats the subjective part. it is also easy to argue that owning $60 games is overrated considering majority of people beat titles in a few weeks and never return to them unless its a long term multiplayer attempt.

also the value of games cut down a lot after its been used. easy to argue that you are saving way more money on gamepass then buying these titles and losing half of the value instantly.

Tbf games do increase in value a lot in the long term. So like 10 years from now type s***

Most dont however, it depends on the status of the game at that time but it does happen occasionally. The minority of people that are into reselling could probably gauge that better and benefit from the long game of physically owning a copy . The majority however would probably have sold their games way before the 10 year mark or ended up with something not worth much in value by then.

Buying physical games for full price for majority of ya library is starting to seem like very little upside outside of niche benefits

yeah but you can also wait for a sale, physicals give 50% sales soon after release, even digital sales have been fire on PSN recently. You could buy like 5-6 games on sale that would’ve otherwise cost hundreds. And you can still sell those games.

Meanwhile, if you paid $160 for ultimate this past year and didn’t really enjoy the games you’re not getting any money back lol.

I’m gonna buy halo infinite physical because I’m not really sure if I’m gonna like it or not, but someone who, for instance, paid for a year of gamepass expecting to get halo on it, spent more than $60 and may not even enjoy halo and can’t get a refund. It’s subjective tho, because if you stan Halo you’re probably gonna like whatever halo game drops period

tbh a person that would buy a year of game pass would not do it for one game so if halo was a disappointment they are still getting 100's of other options that would add up to $1000's for only $160.

and in terms of your second line of points, a person can take a risk with a $60 game , hate it and lose 20/30 dollars off rip even with reselling it . At least with game pass they have 100's of others games to burn through before feeling bad about their purchase. The chances are way higher to not waste your money with game pass since the value is just that outrageous compared to relying on purchasing everything outright

Yeah it makes perfect sense for a certain audience. If your only platform is Xbox and you haven’t played most games in the past decade then yeah gamepass is a crazy good deal, but I’ve played almost everything they have on there which is why I’m not subscribing rn

They’re buying up studios like crazy though so I’m sure every month as they add games it’ll become more tempting so sign up

Honestly most of the played games are games on multiple platforms but it is just cheaper to indulge in the subscription then pay for these games and not like them

I would have never bought MLB the show , octopath traveler, dragon quest builder or dead by deadlight in one calendar year since the risk would be too high. People with a switch or playstation could see just as many benefits

Why did doom eternal lose quick resume functionality smh. It was just working before the update. It feels like all the series x enhanced games don’t work for me anymore. What’s the point of it if it on out runs older games through it smh
