Selling PS4 base model to someone for 200-300 in 2022 is criminal even the Pro when you could easily just manufacture more PS5s or focus on getting them into the hands of human players vs scalpes. Microsoft all access is more incentivized or in general to get to real players because their subscription service of game pass is a easy sell. Microsoft doesn't gain money by shipping a console and it sitting on shelves that long? why because MICROSOFT IS SELLING AT A LOSS

Sony is not selling at a loss. Every scalper who buys their console doesnt hurt their bottom line and they dont care if you subscribe to Plus on CDKeys or buy plus full price because they don't even have the multiplayer games besides third party games

They are getting too cocky off the fact they have an install base and that install base being overly loyal and "I will play it on PC" but tides will change

You could easily say you need a gamertag or psn id made to purchase a console and once you have one it locks to your name

You could have an app to purchase locking to smartphone

there are so many different things you can do to avoid scalping

Bundles, All Access monthly plan and many other things

There is a reason Sony doesn't give a f*** there is a reason they are making PS4s again

Xbox is playing the long game even though its hated on right now

console war people compare numbers but we have seen how that goes. Games are coming on both consoles.

yes its 4k, 60fps but for many gamers that just means cost a lot more when if either is playable who cares for them.

Sony f***ed themselves by not having a program like All Access and f***ed themselves harder by not making their digital console a bit less powerful (so they could make more)

Without a Gamepass there is no rush to own a PS5. I can wait til PS6, I can wait til they mass produced, I can wait til price drop. The Xbox on the other hand always tempting because of game pass and giving you constant games to play while development of new games takes its time and isn't rushed.

that + ive seen a lot of players say they dont rly care about Horizon and GoW and they play 3rd parties but REALLY want Spidey 2 and Wolverine and i think that's the majority PS player (considering sales) so its gonna be a long and slow 2022 for most PS players

Nah they wouldn't do all access cause they not mad at the scalpers lol. Some consoles drop on Walmart Plus today. The feeling of a golden ticket even if the golden ticket not getting widely played daily outside of multiplats is enough.

Games should be about playing together and its cool they got that watch your friend play feature but they have to hone in on multiplayer and coop
