Pusha T's Daytona. once you figure out the admittedly great wordplay throughout it becomes pretty much a pointless listen:
looking back that beef went nowhere and is now super played out. also saying push won is corny even if he did bc it's irrelevant
ppl dont look favorably at that whole 7-album rollout from ye. everybody had moved on to better and bigger projects (Nas with King's Disease, Ye with Donda, Teyana Taylor with... acting career? ). the only people still f***ing with it stuck in 2018 if we're real. like I get it, that was your freshman year, but it's been way too long to still latching on to that era
as much as I enjoy short albums like Some Rap Songs, Daytona ultimately didn't leave any impact or became as much of an essential listen for Push as I wanted it to be. I'll just put on Clipse if I wanna listen to Pusha. the album itself isn't bad, but it's definitely one that I would not come back to bc of how limited in content it is
this track still hard tho, crazy memories hearing it for the first time
Album is still great tbh just wish pusha t had done more since then and didn’t ruin the recent pop smoke album
But only 1/7 songs mentions drake and people don’t hate the wyoming era at all lmao
To reply to every point
-The album only addresses the beef in one song, and I don’t see how it’s corny to say he won, he did. The beef didn’t end Drake’s career but why would it? Beefs rarely end careers, Drake washed the floor with Meek and he still had a career
-People don’t look highly on the 7 track thing because the other albums weren’t as good. Daytona and KSG were always treated as the stand outs of the 5. Nas and Ye dropped bigger projects, Teyanna didn’t and Pusha hasn’t dropped again yet so who knows
-That sounds like a personal problem
So these are ur only points and that makes it the worst aged album of the past few years? This site is truly beginning to get worse

dont think ive seen anything positive said abt ye recently. the only album that people are still actively fond of from that era is ksg. Daytona gets a rare shoutout but yeah like I said
fam delete your whole existence and don't forget to log out of your KTT account first

I don’t like ye either but there’s ppl on here who will defend it like their lives depend on it so I’d say ppl still love that album
The weekly Daytona sucks actually threads read the exact same and the agenda is painfully obvious
album was good but him buying billboards to call his own album AOTY was corny
…for now
Imo it’s push’s only solo classic
Probably the only good thing to come out of that Wyoming bullshit. Ye and Nasir were duds, KTSE was good but teyana got screwed over by the label
Bro said Daytona has aged poorly cause of s*** mostly outside the music lol
the music aged the most and I said that right from the start. there's no way youre still stank facing to 'this is my purple tape save it for rainy dayz', regardless of how good of a bar it is. beats are cool bc I cant find anything close to what ye did on Daytona since then but I think it can only get the album so far bc they're not that insane

didn't know it's a regular discussion here, just had that thought before going to sleep yday and wanted to get it out

U said the bars and wordplay were good, why would still not like it later ?
And ur saying the production was great, not seeing the age poorly part
