for me its constantly shifting between yeezus, and tlop but i think tlop deserves way way more respect than it gets. s*** was basically a victory lap and a retrospective of his career.

i hate the argument that mixing is a deciding factor in the quality of music. Does Black Flag suck cause their first two albums sound kind of s***ty? like of course it can enhance a piece but like MBDTF is not better or worse because of some weird distortions in the master that you pick up sometimes when youre completely focused on it . now if we want to make the argument that tlop and yeezus are better because it utilizes vacillation between the maximal and minimal in its production to create spaces for the listener that mirror its lyrical content, i'm there for that.
