Gonna be hard to find. YG blew up heavily because of his heavy attachment to Mustard and his sound buzzing at the time. Kendrick blew up from his links with Dre and Game.
The next big West Coast artist will have to have his own unique story and sound to really blow up in this climate.
No rapper will sell over 250K+ albums first week in 2022 besides the top 4 guys
Drake
Kendrick
Cole
& Ye
Jack Harlow (forgot him)
Willing to bet money on that. In any of the future album threads
Frank tops blonde
Kendrick album is rock focused and bad
Drake releases some singles that don't do well
Kanye does nothing
Rocky releases his best project

He'll need a 2x Plat single and a huge successful album to reach those numbers in 2022.
I don’t see it ..
did 200k w My Turn and I feel like he's gotten a fair amount bigger since then
idk if it'll happen or not but I think he'll be in that ballpark

yea i agree. i like a lot of artists from there like BlueBucksClan but they don't seem to be taking off like they should. I wonder why sometimes, I mean, I guess cause the sound is too niche and not accessible enough. i can see the same problem occurring with the new Bronx drill scene too

Damn bro lol. Very depressing list
An artist will take the Drill sound to the next level similar to what Travis Scott did to Trap
Rap will become even more saturated with auto tuned d*** head clout chasers… which will make the sound obsolete
A new trend is coming this year, and it will change the sound and flow of the game.

Drill is starting to peak here tbh. The more interesting drill songs i'm encountering these days are the international ones tbh.

Remble is gonna be the next big west coast artist imo
Some artist takes on afrobeat, raps on it and becomes a rstar. Also hopefully Cordae doesnt do a Roddy and drops a s*** album after a solid debut.
Someone big is hopping on a Buju song I guarantee it.
