idk if anyone else has heard this before, but he said he fears they might expect less of him as a black person or might feel uncomfortable around him

  • Jan 16, 2020

Tell him to get some balls. F*** them. I expect less of the white people I work with tbh. They’re mostly lazy and weird af.

  • I feel intimidated but not love that but like cultural differences. If i say something I find culturally acceptable or act a certain way move the wrong way.

Please don't call HR cause I have a deep voice and "look threatening"

Self induced anxiety over the assumed racial biases of other races in close proximity.

It’s better to be underestimated than overestimated.

I don't know about feeling intimidated but yes I can relate to some extent, it's often in the back of my head when I'm around white people that I don't know well in school/professional settings.

yeah same almost like they’d judge you on your race if you made a mistake

i was like one of three black people out of hundreds of interns and it wasn’t intimidating but some pressure

Once he sees how under qualified some of his white coworkers are he’ll feel better

Im the only African American at my job and i always feel like there's more eyes on me than my peers. Like whenever I make a small mess up there's a collective sigh of disapproval. I can ask for a pen from a co-worker and they'll exclaim "DAMN Lov3ly you're ALWAYS forgetting something".

Everyone is on their phones all the time. If I even pull mines out to look at the time there's always a co-worker who says "youre not supposed to be on your phone" loud enough for the supervisor to hear.

Even in my nursing class (I'm the only black guy). Whenever I ask a question everyone laughs or roll their eyes. Yesterday my teacher said twice "oh yeah he's going to be the one that the class is going to have drag to victory".

Like mfer you encourage us to "ask questions" so why try to shoot me down when I ask my questions
