this anime still got filler?
It has in episode filler. They add fights or prolong fights. Or just show faces for half the episode as filler.
Right now they’re only adopting if we’re lucky a whole chapter if not then like 70% of a single chapter.

I have pretty mixed thoughts on this arc. I think out of all the arcs since Drum Island, this has been my least favorite so far. I think that mainly has to do with the VA for the majority of the villains this time around. They were so over the top, and just plain silly. It really made it hard to take any of them seriously or threatening. Especially when the shadow fruit is extremely powerful and a Warlord of the Sea in control of it. And it also made their time on screen kinda annoying. I haven't had that problem with any of the other VA in the past though. So I probably would have enjoyed this arc much more had I read it instead.
That being said, there were still some great moments. I guess I'll start with Brook. I had already seen pics of him before but I had zero idea about who he was or his backstory. F***ing A, the fact that his story goes all the way back to f***ing reverse mountain is insane. The last few episodes that go over the history of his crew and Laboon instantly made him one of my favorite Straw Hats. Being able to see the full context of an event that took place over 200 episodes ago is again, just insane. I'm super glad he's on the crew and that we have another sword user. I also like that his style of sword fighting is different to Zoro's. Zoro relies more on all out power while it looks like Brook is more about speed and technical ability.
Speaking of Zoro, man he had crazy moments this arc
I loved that he finally got some good animation cause most of the he just strikes a pose then it cuts to a new frame and the damage is already done. It was great actually getting to see him fight and use his abilities. The way he zoomed across the screen and slashed Kuma
Then when him and Sanji both offer their lives to protect Luffy and Zoro doesn't even drop to his knees after taking all that pain
Usopp being too negative and depressed to be effected by Perona's powers was funny af.
When Nami lied about being a man and Chopper believed her
I loved watching Zoro, Sanji, Chopper, Nami, Robin, Franky and Usopp fight Oars. It was so cool to see them all come together and combine their powers for different attacks.
Then Nightmare Luffy stopping Oars' gum gum rifle with one hand
Kuma seems very interesting but why tf is he a PAW MAN
Oh, I also loved that Franky included a Mini Merry for the crew. It's awesome to know that the Merry isn't completely gone.
I don't have as much to write as usual, but like I said, this arc was a bit rough for me.
Anyway, onto Sabaody Archipelago
Thriller Bark finished

Anyway, onto Sabaody Archipelago
sabaody is one of my favourite op arcs
enjoy it!!!
Started watching impel down again bc of how much youd talk about it here, made me wanna relive it again
i just finished watching impel down
legit one of my top 3 arcs
Sabaody Archipelago done
Uhhh, yeah. This will probably mostly be about those last few episodes cause wtf was that. But I'll start at the beginning.
I didn't really care for the Camie and Pappag. They were both pretty meh. I get that their purpose was to get our crew to Hachi and then to Sabaody but the way that all happened kinda felt like a filler arc. That whole section wasn't terrible, but it wasn't all that interesting.
Except for when this mf Duval shows up and he is literally the drawing on Sanji's wanted poster
I was totally expecting him to a villain from early on in the series, so that was funny af. Then Sanji turns him into handsome squidward
Kinda reminded me of a Jojo character lmao
Then we finally get to Sabaody and we immediately learn that this island is f***ed. Not only do the Celestial Dragons own slaves, but the World Government actively turns a blind eye to the slave trade going on in public auctions. It's also a place when fishmen and mermen are still discriminated against even though that hasn't been the case in the rest of the world for 200 years.
Then after Camie gets kidnapped we're introduced to Rayleigh, the vice captain on Roger's ship. Luffy punches the s*** out of that guy who tries to buy Camie and shoots Hachi
Then s*** pretty much goes downhill from there.
Kizaru is creepy af. Not sure if it's his animation or his art but something about him is disturbing. I figured out pretty quickly that he had the power of light. He seems to have similar properties to Crocodile, but much much stronger.
Then there are clones or copies of Kuma? But they have Kizaru's powers????? Wtf??? But these versions of Kuma seem to rely on orders and can be defeated even though it takes nearly everything out of the crew.
Rayleigh coming out of nowhere and saving Zoro
But then it happens. The real Kuma shows up and we see that our crew is completely powerless and outmatched
Zoro hasn't recovered from Thriller Bark, the Kuma clones are too strong for Sanji to kick, Franky has no soda, Titan Chopper (
) is uncontrollable, Usopp doesn't have the tools, Nami and Robin are in shock and Brook isn't fast enough. Luffy knows they can't win and begs his friends to run
Luffy's cry out for Zoro after he gets swiped by Kuma
Then we slowly have to watch each one of the Straw Hat's come to the same realization as Luffy - they can't win. And each one gets swiped, one after another
Luffy has always been the one to save and protect his friends against the biggest and baddest enemies and now he's completely powerless. He has to stand there and watch each one of friends disappear and there's nothing he can do
His breakdown when he feels like he letdown his friends
Why, Oda, why?
Sabaody is crazy.
And you didn't even mention all the new characters that get introduced
ayo I didn’t read any posts itt just came in to say wow im late
started this in september I’m at 432 rn this s*** brazy!! exceptional writing tbh..imma head out before I spoil myself

Best arcs are coming bro
Finished Amazon Lily today too
Dope arc. One Pace had down to only 5 episodes so it was really short, but it was such a great way to build up whats going to happening soon and we got a ton of information.
I lost it when these girls thought Luffy's d*** was a mushroom and asked him to open his ball sack so they could see the jewels inside
Hancock and her sisters had a great backstory. Learning that they were slaves who were freed by a fishman and have to lie to their people about slaying some mystical beast and now being cursed in order to protect themselves and the island was wild. It makes total sense why they're so protective and afraid of intruders. Oda is so good at making you understand the perspectives of different characters and even if you don't agree with their actions, you can understand how they got there.
But the fact that Hancock is now in love with Luffy
Sanji gonna lose his s*** if he gets the chance to see that
I love the global politics at play
Ace is captured and in Impel Down, so now Whitebeard is going to break him out. The Navy knows that Whitebeard is coming so they're sending marines and the seven warlords to Impel Down too. S*** is about to real
I loved seeing the islands where the rest of the crew landed. Presumably this is how the rest of the crew gets stronger since we see that Luffy unlocked the Conquerers Haki (?) while at Amazon Lily. Some of them make sense, like Nami being at a sky island that studies weather or Franky being at an island all about engineering and mechanical stuff. The other ones aren't quite as obvious but I'm sure once we see what they've learned it will make sense.
Brook's island thinking that they summoned Satan
I'm especially interested in seeing what happens with Zoro and Perona
Poor Robin
Finally accepts that her friends are real and won't turn their back on her and she gets sent to a slave island to do manual labor
My academic queen doesn't deserve this.
i just finished watching impel down
legit one of my top 3 arcs
Chloe on one piece too?? Oh we lit!!!!!!!!!
Sabaody is crazy.
And you didn't even mention all the new characters that get introduced
fr, the introduction of the eleven supanovas is one of my favourite parts of that arc
the spaghetti line skskks i would hate to be in hawkin’s crew 💀💀💀
Chloe on one piece too?? Oh we lit!!!!!!!!!
i’ve been on one piece
