Anime has been trash ever since they blew their load on the episode introducing the Tobi Roppo.
And they nerfing my boy Luffy, they had Ulti knocking him unconscious. And Yamato whooping his ass. Then they going to have him fighting Kaido and s*** not even going to make sense.
As someone that loves the anime...facts
Nothing be happening in these last few episodes
Face reveal was good but Yamato intro was trash smh
I'm hungry as hell to see what happens after Wano but anime got me feeling like I'm done/fed up with the arc in general but then I read a fire chapter and all I want is more Wano smfh
weirdly enough the best moments of wano anime have been the anime-only moments
Like which ones
I was clowning op fans at the start of wano that were like ''this will be zoro's arc'' but they were actually right anime-wise
What's your thinking on this too?

Yea, I wonder how anime only's feel about the current pacing. I think we may be hating it more because we read the manga, idk.

I watched 970+ episodes and then switched to the manga and I'm currently rewatching some arcs (Enies, Jaya - incredible arc, the ratio of classic/powerful moments to length might be the best of the whole series and might be one of my favorite arcs all on its own - and just starting Skypeia).
Now that I'm reading and with all those episodes behind me + these rewatches I can definitely understand all of the pacing complaints about the anime but I think it's EXTREMELY bad right now, legit contending for worst pacing in the anime so far imo.
I don't even understand why it has to be this way. There's a decent amount of space between the current chapter and the anime...

Wym, it followed the manga to a t with the unconscious part being padding for the anime. Yams knocked a transformed Ulti with sea stone shackles on of course she’s stronger.
Like the Jimbei toast, pretty sure that was Anime only
Great scene, big W for the anime

We gonna come back to this after we see how these next few chapters go
Also do people still think we're getting Kaido's backstory anytime soon? I can see it coming up later but this really feel like late stage Wano rn and the battle is nearing it's climax.

Ulti didn’t knock Luffy unconscious. And they had her do it twice in the mortar and the headbutt afterwards that in the manga she didn’t even get it off. She was about to do it then he said “not going to happen” and was about to go gear fourth then Yamato came.
If we not gonna see any awakened zoan this arc I'm gonna be pretty disappointed tbh
At this point it’ll f*** up the pacing imo

everyone was like ''this a samurai arc so its zoro's arc duh'' which had me like ''fuckin dumasses'' but I stand corrected
he started off the arc by flexing with a seppuku blade, he went ham with a scythe, he got a new powerful sword and sliced a cliff along with sanji's cigarette AND he's been twice as dope in manga chapters that have not been adapted yet

along with the zoro moments I just mentioned I'll add the extended version of oden vs kaido (at least it felt extended not 100% sure), zoro's ''eye-opening'' moment, some of the prison training / queen and big mom stuff (I like the mad max aesthetic of queen's character so I was cool with the prison filler)
the akazaya's more detailed introduction
the visuals of acting everytime kanjuro appeared after being exposed as a snitch
also, I'd like to add that the tobi roppo got sick designs in the anime....I mean they're the same but I didnt expect em to be so colorfoul, like, ulti has blue pink hair and Who's Who fit is red top to bottom
reflecting on what I said when you quoted my previous post let me rephrase what I said ....the anime only moments were not the best if we exclude zoro but they've at least spiced up wano
I feel like Oda doesnt have as much time as he'd like to to expand on certain things at this point which is why I feel its good to follow the anime even if you're caught up with the manga....but the same doesnt apply both ways
@Psychodrama Imma respond to your post in full later and I really appreciate how through it was but your post made me realize how much I wanted to watch the udon portion of wano again and I completely forgot that they dragged Luffy there with horses while he was in sea prisim cuffs
Crying
"oh my f***ing god, Kid exists"
Let me know when you read the new chapter btw
Need someone to explain something for me from the last chapter in the panel after the sky splits, what's going on there with the two Bao Huangs?

I was also confused. I interpreted it as them being knocked out by the Luffy and Kaido’s haki.
