So if you be wondering wtf is going on with Kaido let me break it down.

Luffy is literally pushing his scalp back by punching through his face which now is rubberized. The skin around Luffy's fist is Kaido's scalp. You can see the stretch lines from the base and skin around Luffy's knuckles. There is also shaking effects around Luffy's fist which shows tension from the stretching.

Like luffy’s power is still rubber but the amount of comments on reddit saying his power has been retconned to “toon force”… one piece is a literal cartoon. Every f***ing thing in the series can be categorized to some degree of toon force.

I saw a comment that said when luffy got swallowed by Kaido he changed kaido’s body to not include a skeleton and that’s how he could see the light out of his eyes.
