the real reason I mentioned that character to y'all yesterday since I didn't go into full detail at the time:

Yamato - Having doubts about her joining now for multiple reasons. Her devil fruit is the "guardian deity" of Wano, and if she truly wants to be like Oden she'll understand that even after traveling, Oden regretted leaving Wano and having it overrun in his absence. She ought to learn from that.

Momo - I honestly now think he has a greater chance than Yamato of joining, but I also think he ultimately doesn't join as well. They're hiding the reveal of his "adult" form and I do believe he will look like his father. What way to correct Oden's mistake than by also having the "new" Oden stay in the country to restore the Kozuki clan to power with his sister and the scabbards. I also think his grandfather is still alive but that's a topic for another time.

Which leads me to King. I mentioned to Junior how I think it could be like a half Robin/half Oden situation where we didn't know a whole lot about Robin, other than she was a former antagonist, when she joined. We don't know a whole lot about King either but there's a long standing plot device about the Lunarians, how that impacts the ancient kingdom, if that involves Sanji in anyway, etc. And as we've seen with Oden himself, he was able to jump ship from Whitebeard to Roger because Roger wanted him for that final voyage. It won't be a 1:1, but from all the dialogue we've had between King and Kaido we know that King wants to follow the person who can change the world, is Joy Boy, etc. and Kaido even told him the guy who is Joy Boy is the one who would beat him. We know Luffy eventually is going to beat Kaido, so how do you think King would react?

It's a stretch for sure but it's some left field s*** Oda would try and pull

Yamato: I don't really think that matters, Oden regretted leaving, but that journey ultimately made him who he was. For all we know had he not done that he winds up being too weak to even damage Kaido. Also gotta account for the connection with Ace. She's also named after the Japanese battleship "Yamato", that obviously sailed the seas and helped in WW2 and s\*\*\*. Pretty sure she a big fan favorite too, so merch money coming in lol.

Momo: He gotta stay, he might show up in the final war, but his people need him way more than Luffy does. Maybe his sister could takeover for him, but idk.

King: I think if he is to be around later it'll be more like a Katakuri or Law kinda role where they respect each other, but they not joining crews. If Kaido does die then I could see him just going solo. I just don't see how King could redeem himself to Luffy, considering how pissed off Luffy was at the conditions Kaido and crew had everybody living in and how f\*\*\*ed up the entire situation was in Wano.

Another thing on Yamato I feel like the whole being Oden isn't supposed to be an actual thing with her. Like it's something she took to heart as like an idol and went over the top with it. Which Momo being back and likely looking like Oden will free her of that sense of duty she has. Like Yamato as a character has to develop and learn to be Yamato, not Oden, because she's just been acting as somebody she read about for years now. Her just straight being Oden sounds weird, they can mirror each other in some areas, but I think she'll become her own person. Also I don't remember exactly, but she really wanted to go leave to sail the seas with Ace didn't she?

A big part of her character is wanting to escape the (literal) shackles of her father and go on an adventure like Oden so yeah I think its like a 75% chance she joining or at least sails w the crew for a bit.

that’s part of where I’m going with it, cause she wanted to sail with Ace because of the adventures she learned reading Oden’s journal. Imo forging her own path would be staying and helping to rebuild the country that her father f\*\*\*ed up rather than trying to recreate his (Oden’s) adventures. But again, I see arguments for both

They supposed to be the strongest in the world but don't even have awakening lmao
Also giving kaido just 4 pages of flashback is still crazy to me

I think come end of the series when they give everybody their romantic partner. Yamato goes back to Wano and winds up with Momo. I feel that's a guarantee at this point, especially if he looks like Oden. It's hard to pinpoint what Momo does, but him becoming the dragon, saving the island, all just seems like it points towards him becoming a man and being there for his people.

Who do yall think come end of series in the crew if anybody would be most likely to get killed off

I feel like Brook being immortal? Would def want to die at some point, so I could see him dying, I don't even know if he can die tho

I also think Jinbe could def be killed off

Everyone else at this point will make it out alive. Who knows if Oda will even have anyone die, hell we don't know if Kaido is going to die lol
