S*** idk I thought it was like a pronoun thing more than a like sexual gender thing. Like Ivankov is like just whatever way the wind blows especially considering his fruit
Whereas with Yamato she's cosplaying as Oden and that's her whole reasoning for how she acts, she had a f***ed up life obviously. In the databooks and all that Oda refers to Yamato as a she, so I don't think she's trans, she just calls herself what Oden would call himself is how I thought it was meant
It’s pretty obvious Oda is setting up a character arc for her where the message is you don’t need to pretend to be someone you’re not. You can carve out your own destiny.

Yea that's what I was saying a few weeks ago, her whole obsession with Oden is weird and she has to like be who she is and not think of herself as the idol she looked up to. Since her childhood she's been imitating Oden, like a kid copying Goku is one thing, but if they were still doing it at the age of 30 then there's something wrong there lol
Cuz her behavior is really just some like deep psychological trauma from Kaido being an awful father

Yeah Kaido was also clearly projecting masculinity onto her because he wanted a son instead. She internalizes a lot of this and is essentially rejecting him by trying to be the man he hates. I also don’t think she’s going to join the crew for this reason. She hasn’t had a real arc yet, she needs to figure out things for herself first. Mr. Morj has a good recent video explaining in more detail why I don’t think she’ll join.

Wouldn’t her arc be shedding the Oden persona then.

Yes which hasn’t happened yet. I’m sure this will be explored in the post Wano section of the story.
Good ass chapter I was gonna say no way Oda's gonna pull a Haku with yamato but I saw some good points being made already itt about her
hope she does end up joining the crew tho
is hawkins dead? 🤔 hope he is, least interesting character from the worst generation tbh, ol astrology im a genimi lookin ass
Someone who thinks they’re the reincarnation of a dead revolutionary is not trans. It would be like a woman saying “I’m Malcolm X”. That doesn’t make her a man, that makes her a repressed delusional person who has no other frame of reference for someone good.
Isnt it more like non binary in a way idk

Always hated him. Him and apoo so f***in annoying
The way that man's body contorted
Shit worse than Fishman Island, he not leaving Wano alive
You forgot this one
Oda was wildin this chapter
Dope chapter. My prediction for the new Emperor's are Kidd and Law
do you consider luffy already an emperor or u think he’ll be cockblocked for some reason?
the way the panel looked made it seems like it’s going your way tbh

why is oda forcing zoro to be equal to luffy, this doesnt make sense man

reflects well on them both. reflects well on luffy to have a man of that kind of strength as his "subordinate" (really his right hand man) which speaks to his leadership, and reflects well on zoro because we see what he can do and he gets his shine with regularity. think of it as a reverse goku/vegeta dynamic where they're legit rivals, but obviously goku gets the shine despite all the "debate" leaving vegeta to look like a petty clown in the end. zoro doesn't mind luffy getting his shine, because he knows well enough he can get his at any time. he just has that much faith in his captain and his ambitions

It's interesting Luffy doesnt really have that rival dynamic like the mc in many other shounen

It's supposed to be Kid, but....well we see how that's going lol

Lol it was supposed to be him, kidd had so much potential
Where is Robin
probably reading the poneglyphs or something. i doubt oda would do another "save robin" plot. after all, usopp and franky were at the port fixing ships instead of bathing
