It’s defintely underrated. It’s a really funny read. And even the anime version makes me laugh. I just feel weird putting it above bigger fuller arcs. I normally wouldn’t even include it since it’s basically just the breather intro for Water 7/Ennies Lobby. Marineford is B because I prefer when the crew is together going on adventures. I rarely even get the urge to revisit Marineford. It’s this big melodramatic world politics shifting event and it’s exciting in the moment but it’s not what I come to the series for.

It’s just nonstop action and the rest of the crew being absent makes it less appealing to me. Impel Down at least makes up for this by having Luffy essentially form a new crew along the way and it still feels like an adventure down the various layers of the prison. Marineford is stuck in one bland location with the drama being the focus. It’s very good at what’s it’s doing, it’s just not doing what I prefer.

I saw Film Red today and it was pretty good. Hope you all can avoid spoilers before watching. I had no knowledge of it going in (no trailers no nothing) and it really surprised me lol

i watched skypeia and everything before it back when it was on one piece so i dont even remember a lot of it

gotta go back and rewatch those eps one of these days

It's so funny, and the sanji zoro tag team fight is legit one of my favorite fights of the Series lol I just love their dynamic during the whole thing so much. Always wanted another tag team fight with zoro and sanji
And yea I understand and agree with your reasons for putting marineFord in B. It's definitely not as great to re-read it as other arcs. But still that first time reading it weekly hit so hard and had me in so much shambles. I just can't put it below A personally. Those couple chapters where you think luffy made it and ace is really gonna be saved, and then akainu just straight up punches a hole into aces chest... Man I was literally shocked and screaming and crying like luffy does in the chapter
