I see where you're coming from for Van Auger but I actually really liked Burgess and Doc Q having the fruits they do - Blackbeard and co are supposed to be the most piratey pirates and the both of them go really heavy on the excess part of that (Burgess: loud, boastful etc and Doc: extremely destructive/lay waste to everything) so why not just play into that more with amplifying all of that with their fruits
