I thought Film Red was really good. There was a group of kids behind me that kept talking and making noise but I already kinda have trouble focusing in a theater anyway so it didn't ruin my experience, but it was annoying. I still think Gold is the best OP movie I've seen but Red is a close 2nd.

I only had two problems. I think it would have been much better if Uta didn't know that she was the one who destroyed the island. I thought her being the one to destroy the island was a nice twist and I think her actually being aware of that kinda softened the reveal. Tot Musica manifesting itself in front of Uta after hearing her sing didn't make any sense at all imo. It's not cannon so it doesn't really matter but that part just felt weird

Those two things are only slight problems though.

Other thoughts, The reveal and explanation of Uta's fruit was awesome. I thought that she was brainwashing people but transferring their souls to another realm was a really cool twist and unexpected. The fight montages during her songs were great. My favorite was the one when she turned on the strawhats cause that was my favorite Uta song and the way the strawhats combined their abilities was fun. The ending fight was hype af and I'm glad Usopp got some shine. I would have never expected Uta to die at the end. I'm assuming she's cannon and so is her death just not the actual events in the movie obv, so it makes sense why she's not present in the story now

Man...we been had enough to have this idea but really seeing it come into focus now

Trying to catch up before the end of the year but the middle of dressrosa is kinda losing me. The whole elf story line & all the coliseum dudes get way too much screen time. Really deflates the tension of the real shirt that’s going on
