With Kidd and Law bound to get taken out it seems like the Strawhats will have to go through either the Blackbeard or the Red Hair Pirates. I’ve always pictured Blackbeard taking out Shanks but I do wonder what would Shanks do if it came down to him and Luffy. There have been those theories on Shanks grooming Luffy to allow him to get the One Piece. This chapter low key puts weight on it because Shanks is receiving Poneglyph rubbings that came from Luffy’s efforts via Kidd. In addition why is he stealing Kidd’s rubbing and going after the treasure after seemingly not chasing it prior. Makes you think.

Should be Shanks > Blackbeard > then final boss Im I'd guess with how things look. Shanks def comes off as a gatekeeper kinda role. Though with the current setup and world government showing up it could spark things off in a big way against them. Have all the poneglyphs been found or how many are left for the straw hats?

There’s one more Poneglyph left. Presumably the one that was in Fishman Island in the Oden flashback. Sometime between then and when the Strawhats arrived there it was moved. People theorize Whitebeard moved it since Fishman Island was his territory prior to his death.

the "NOTHING HAPPENED" s*** was tough. the whole episode was tough.

i had mentioned earlier that as soon as laboon was brought back up and they told him he was still alive i was a very happy camper.

the dog training was good too. ya know, looking back, it started slow but it had one of the more satisfying endings to an arc. also my fav zoro up to that moment was when he lost to hawkeye mind hawk bird hawk swordmandudueguy and he swore to luffy that he would never lose another fight. zoro is that dude

I've never really bought the idea that Shanks has had this all planned out and has just been waiting for the pieces to fall into place. "It was all part of my plan" doesn't really seem to fit into Oda's writing style and if he were to use it, Doffy would have made the most sense to be written that way since he is literally a puppeteer. I also don't think it makes any sense considering Shanks decided to stay with Buggy when he got sick and missed out on going to laugh tale with Roger. With the whole idea being that Shanks would form his own crew and find it himself. That entire point would kinda be undermined if he was using Luffy as a proxy to find the one piece. Obv Shanks has a plan and he might be using Luffy *now*, but I don't think it was this long reaching plan that has been in place since he met Luffy.

funniest moment BY FAR for me just happened. the ending of episode 512

luffy rang the bells sixteen times and everyone in the crew understood the meaning and we get to zoro who just KNOWS theres more to it and we watch him TRYING desperately to think. the camera slowly zooms in all the way to his eye while the only sound you hear is him grunting, using every single brain cell available to try and think and he just. cant. do it.
