This a conversation I been meaning to bring up in here with OP fam

First in the moment of where we currently are, what character interests you the most?

Second, has anyone else felt like since Oda's picking up the plot and moving the pace with that, and this goes before Wano even I'd say. The character development, the focus on characters and their interactions has diminished as Oda has switched gears to get this final saga going. Interactions between the straw hats hasn't really been there like it was in earlier stages of the story, and I kinda miss that aspect.

Because I still look back at Dressrosa and I still haven't been as engaged with a character since Doffy. Like I feel like that's Oda's pinnacle in terms of a character right now, Doffy had me on the edge of my seat.

I think Shanks has potential, we'll see what his story is. Kuma has potential we'll see where things are going with that. I feel like those are the only two characters right now though that can possible achieve similar greatness at the moment though.

I'm really just curious on other peoples thoughts on if anyone else has felt a difference in the story in the last say 200 chapters or so. And if any character at the moment or in Wano really had yall full attention.

Oden was fine, but we knew what happened to him. So, it's like nice to have the backstory, but it wasn't anything mind blowing or like "oh s*** what's next"

I don't really mean hype as in what isn't on screen yet. But what we have at present, and all the cards that are seemingly at play in this current arc, which character has your attention the most.

Revolutionary Army they don't seem like they'll really be have much of a role right now, obviously we'll see them at some point in the future.

I mean with Kuma being a focus and Dragón having connections with Vegapunk they definitely are about to make a move

But yea, hasn’t really been a character that’s mind blown me in a while tbh, but I mean it’s more time to see the characters we been waiting for

personally, I feel like the character development with our main crew has been impressive given the style of story. The first half of the show focused on it more but this being a high fantasy , it was no way the main crew would get as much time given we are heading towards the ending. In terms of before wano i felt like Whole cake to me was very character focused and well done at that. Then before that we had zou and dressrosa. I don’t really think character work took much of a dip looking at only post time skip . If anything punk hazard was the only time it felt weak to me.

Wano still somehow gave us great character moments from the crew while balancing a million plot points so I was personally satisfied. Plus the character arc of momo for me personally is peak ODA and i fell in love with a lot of the newly established characters in that arc in a short time period . Oden compares with doffy for me easily in terms of character work. Post wano has also given us a ton of vintage moments with the crew (way more than i was expecting) so I feel like it's balanced relatively well.

Characters that interest me most rn btw is Bonney/kuma , vegapunk and Stussy
